Abell 85
(A85, ACO 85)
(galaxy cluster with central giant elliptical galaxy)
Abell 85 (A85 ) is a galaxy cluster
in the constellation , Cetus, consisting of about 370 galaxies .
Its central galaxy is a cD , Holmberg 15A ,
which hosts one of the most massive known supermassive black holes (SMBHs),
Holm 15A* which masses 40 billion solar masses .
Note that Abell's catalog of planetary nebulae (PNe) also
includes an entry often referred to as Abell 85 (with SIMBAD 's
preferred unique designator , it is A66 85 ). In fact,
it is now determined to be not a PN but a supernova remnant .
