Arakelian Catalog
(Ark, Galaxies with High Surface Brightness)
(1970s list of small/bright galaxies)
Astronomer Marat Arakelian assembled a list of galaxies
with at substantial minimum brightness
from a limited area of the celestial sphere,
in a paper, Galaxies with High Surface Brightness.
Among them were a number of galaxies with active galactic nuclei (AGNs).
