ATLAS Stellar Model

(ATLAS, ATLAS Code)
(computer model of a stellar photosphere)

The ATLAS Stellar Model (or ATLAS or ATLAS Code) is a computer model of the photosphere of a star. Through simulation, given some basic stellar parameter determination, it produces a model spectrum of such a star. The initial code was developed circa 1970 with later versions developed at least into the 1990s. Codes based upon it have been developed more recently.
