AXIS

(Advanced X-ray Imaging Satellite)
(concept for space X-ray observatory)

AXIS is a plan for a NASA X-ray survey satellite, aiming to image the celestial sphere on the order of 0.5 arcsecond angular resolution, covering roughly 0.1-16 keV (soft into mid X-rays), generally more sensitive than Chandra X-ray Observatory. The plan is for an early-2030s launch.
