Bruce Proper Motion Survey
(BPM)
(1941 southern-hemisphere survey catalog of Luyten's)
The Bruce Proper Motion Survey is an astronomical survey of
southern-hemisphere stars that show proper motion.
The survey was carried out in the 1930s by Willem Luyten using the 1890s
24-inch Harvard Observatory Bruce Telescope
after it had been moved to the southern hemisphere (first to Peru,
later to South Africa, where it appears to have been when Luyten
carried out the survey).
