California Extremely Large Telescope

(concept for an extremely large telescope)
The California Extremely Large Telescope (CELT)
was the name used for an early effort toward developing an extremely large telescope.
The initiative eventually was combined with the Giant Segmented Mirror Telescope (GSMT) and
VLOT (Very Large Telescope) efforts to form
the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT) initiative.
