CMBFAST

(software to calculate CMB anisotropies)

CMBFAST is software (code) to calculate the linear CMB-anisotropy spectra. It is a Boltzmann solver (Boltzmann code), i.e., solves the Einstein-Boltzmann equation, i.e., the Boltzmann transport equation adapted to include general relativity.

CMBFAST has been replaced by CAMB (Code for Anisotropies in the Microwave Background) which, among other things, is oriented toward using many CPUs. AxionCAMB is a variant devised for numerical cosmological studies of the axion concept.
