### CMBFAST

(software to calculate CMB anisotropies)

**CMBFAST** is software (code) to calculate
the linear CMB-anisotropy spectra.
It is a **Boltzmann solver** (**Boltzmann code**), i.e., solves
the **Einstein-Boltzmann equation**,
i.e., the **Boltzmann Transport Equation** adapted to include general relativity.

CMBFAST has been replaced by **CAMB**
(**Code for Anisotropies in the Microwave Background**)
which, among other things, is oriented toward using many CPUs.
**AxionCAMB** is a variant devised for numerical cosmological studies
of the axion concept.
