COPSS

(Carbon Monoxide Power Spectrum Survey)
(survey of CO from star forming epoch)

COPSS (Carbon Monoxide Power Spectrum Survey) is a survey of carbon monoxide at around redshift 3, to learn about molecular clouds and their associated star formation during that time period. The survey uses intensity mapping data from various sources, including data from a Sunyaev-Zel'dovich Array CMB survey. Among COPSS's aims is uncovering star formation using a means that includes smaller, less luminous galaxies that presumably harbor much or most of the star formation but are not identified and analyzed individually.
