Dragonfly

(plan for Titan flying rover)

Dragonfly is a proposed space mission to Saturn's Moon, Titan, essentially a rotorcraft drone, to explore Titan's surface and Atmosphere. It would be launched in 2025 for a 2034 arrival, for 2+ years of science. Proposed instruments:

For simplicity, the mission includes no orbiter, in part because the drone is able to move to communicate with Earth.

In 2017, the plan was submitted to NASA as a candidate for its fourth New Frontiers mission, i.e., to be New Frontiers 4 aka NF4, and was selected as one of two for further study.
