Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer

(FUSE)
(early 2000s space telescope for short-wavelength ultraviolet)

Far Ultraviolet Spectroscopic Explorer (FUSE) was a NASA Explorers Program space-based telescope for far ultraviolet spectrography, launched in 1999 into Earth orbit and operated until 2007. I believe it is still in orbit, though not in use.

Among its goals were determination of the deuterium present in the universe through its history.
