J1407

J1407 (or 1SWASP J140747.93-394542.6 or 1SWASP J140747) is a Sun-like star about 450 light-years away that shows signs of a companion with a ring system, like that of Saturn but much, much larger (on the order of an AU in diameter, roughly 200 times the diameter of Saturn's ring system). Light-curve patterns of darkening suggest a planet's such rings passing in front of the star. The star was discovered by SuperWASP. Characteristics:
