JADES

(JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey)
(JWST deep survey of GOODS survey fields)

JADES (for JWST Advanced Deep Extragalactic Survey) is a James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) survey to apply its technology toward observing deep fields, specifically, GOODS-North and GOODS-South. It observes these fields yet again, this time with JWST's unprecedented infrared sensitivity and angular resolution. It began during JWST's first year of operation with the intention of years of observation. As of 2024, it has uncovered redshift record-holders for distant galaxies.
