JUNO

(Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory)
(neutrino detector in China)

JUNO (for Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory) is a neutrino detector under construction at Jiangmon, China, part of an experiment to gather information on the masses of neutrinos. It is to observe neutrinos from nearby nuclear power plants. It is a follow-on to an earlier similar neutrino experiment, Daya Bay Reactor Neutrino Experiment.

Juno is also the name of a Jupiter space probe, and Juno (3 Juno) is also the name of a prominent asteroid.
