MeerLICHT

(South African telescope coordinated with MeerKAT)

MeerLICHT is an automated 0.65-meter telescope at the Sutherland Observing Station of the South African Astronomical Observatory (SAAO), specifically designed to automatically follow up radio events (fast radio bursts) noticed by the MeerKAT radio telescope, with optical observations. It served as a pilot for BlackGEM, and is identical to the BlackGEM telescopes.
