Mark II
(MKII, Jodrell Bank Mark II)
(38 m radio telescope in England)
Mark II (or MKII or Jodrell Bank Mark II)
is a radio telescope at
Jodrell Bank Observatory (JBO), in north-west England
that went into operation in 1964.
The shape of the dish's circumference is elliptical,
with a 38 m major axis and a 25 m minor axis.
The telescope was used in early very-long-baseline interferometry (VLBI) experiments
and is still used for such observations.
