(Martian Moons Exploration)
(Japanese probe to bring back a sample of a Martian moon)

MMX (for Martian Moons Exploration) is a Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) planned probe of the Martian moon, Phobos. Plans are to launch in 2026, to reach Mars orbit in 2027, to observe and land on Phobos (with a rover), and to send a return capsule to reach Earth in 2031. Plans include some observation of Mars and the other Martian moon, Deimos. Instruments include:
