SIMSTACK is data-analysis software to locate the signs of specific electromagnetic radiation (EMR) sources (e.g., galaxies) within intensity mapping data, i.e., surveys of a section of the celestial sphere for the intensity of a chosen wavelength or passband. A SIMSTACK analysis can incorporate multiple catalogs of sources and multiple intensity maps, e.g., of different wavelengths. It effectively yields photometry-like data on the sources. Two version are available: in the IDL programming language and the Python programming language.
Be aware that the name SimStack is also used for other (non-astrophysical) software and engineering products.
