Suzaku

Suzaku (formerly ASTRO-EII) is an X-ray observing satellite operated by NASA and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) from its 2005 launch until 2015 when communication became unstable and it was switched off, easily exceeding its 2-year primary mission, and fulfilling its designed lifetime of 8 years. As of 2024, it remains in Earth orbit, presumed to reenter Earth atmosphere in on the order of four years.
