Zodiacal light is light which can be observed from Earth right before sunrise or right after sunset when the weather is clear, in the general area of the zodiac, which is the 16° strip of the celestial sphere centered on the ecliptic. Zodiacal light is visible light from the Sun reflected off interplanetary dust, termed zodiacal dust or the zodiacal cloud.
