Harry Potter Books

Harry Potter books have become tremendously popular over the last few years and everyone waits with baited breath for author J. K. Rowling to finish each opus. The books are eagerly read by children as young as ten but are highly entertaining to adults as well. The print editions are stylishly illustrated by Mary Grandpre and the audio editions are read by Jim Dale who reputedly has developed a unique voice for each of the many characters.

The first book in the Harry Potter series is Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone (also available in Paperback, Audio Cassette, and Audio CD editions). This is the book that introduces Harry Potter, showing us how his life changed from being a poor relation in a boring suburban home to life as a student wizard.

Then follows Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (once again available in Paperback, Audio Cassette, and Audio CD editions). Like the first book, it reports on Harry's summer followed by another school year at wizard's school.

The third book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (once again available in Paperback, Audio Cassette, and Audio CD editions).

The fourth book is Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (also with Paperback, Audio Cassette, and Audio CD editions).

Fifth book is Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

The last book to date is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.

Due July 21, 2007 is Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, which also will come in a Deluxe Edition.

You can buy boxed sets of the first four books in both hardcover and paperback formats.

The first movie Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is also out in a number of video formats including VHS, Full Screen DVD, and Wide Screen DVD.

Other popular Harry Potter items include the Harry Potter Scarf, Harry Potter Clothing, Harry Potter Watches, Harry Potter Posters, Harry Potter Board Games, Harry Potter Video Games, Harry Potter Legos, and the Harry Potter Chess Set.

Other formats of Harry Potter Books are also available including large print and Braille, at Amazon.
