Big Bear Solar Observatory

The Big Bear Solar Observatory (BBSO) is a solar observatory near San Bernadino, California, which hosts one telescope, the 1.5-m Goode Solar Telescope (GST, formerly the New Solar Telescope, NST) which went into operation in 2009. Among the telescope's instruments:

• BFI "Broad-Band Filter Imager".
• VIS "Visible Imaging Spectrometer".
• NIRIS "Near Infra-Red Imaging Spectropolarimeter".
• CYRA "Cryogenic Infra-Red Spectrograph".
• FISS "Fast-Imaging Solar Spectrograph".
