HabEx (for Habitable Exoplanet Imaging Mission) is a concept for a space telescope to observe extra-solar planets with direct imaging, proposed to NASA for its Flagship Program, aiming for development in the 2020s and launch in the 2030s. The concept presumes a coronagraph or starshade. The same equipment would also be able to carry out other unique observations within the Milky Way and beyond. It would be deployed at the L2 Lagrangian point.
