(MIT General Circulation Model)
(well-known general circulation model)

MITgcm (MIT General Circulation Model) is a General Circulation Model developed by MIT, used for Earth Atmosphere and ocean modeling. It uses the Finite Volume Method (FVM), a method analogous to the Finite Difference Method for solving differential equations.

SPARC-MITgcm is MITgcm incorporating the SPARC (Substellar and Planetary Atmospheric Radiation and Circulation) Three Dimensional Model which includes a Wavelength-aware Radiative Transfer Model.
