The National Astronomical Observatory of Japan (NAOJ) is an astronomical research organization operating several observatories in and for Japan, and participating in international collaborations such as Atacama Large Millimeter Array (ALMA) and the Thirty Meter Telescope (TMT). Among the NAOJ telescopes are the Subaru Telescope and the VERA interferometer.
