NGC 1052
(elliptical galaxy with ultra diffuse dwarf satellites)
NGC 1052 is an elliptical galaxy in the constellation
Cetus that includes an active galactic nucleus (AGN). It is the central galaxy of the
galaxy group, NGC 1052 Group, which includes ultra diffuse galaxies (UDGs)
including NGC 1052-DF2 (aka LEDA 3097693)
and NGC 1052-DF4, both of which are of
interest as among the few galaxies that appear to include little
or no dark matter, and are often referred to as merely DF2 and DF4.
