OB star
(a hot star with class O or early B)
The term OB star is a classification to include both O-type stars and
early B-type stars, i.e., a term
for the hottest stars, but a bit broader than just "O".
Some star surveys cover just these stars.
Stellar associations where such stars form and commonly
reside are termed OB associations, the end of the OB stars'
short lives generally arriving before the association has dispersed.
