Orion space telescopes
(Orion)
(two Russian 1970s UV space telescopes)
Orion was a series of two ultraviolet
space telescopes operated by cosmonauts on Russian (Soviet) manned space
missions in the 1970s, Orion-1 in 1971 and Orion-2 in
1973. The latter had a 30 cm aperture.
Note that Orion is also a brand name for a line of
amateur telescopes.
