The Palomar-Green Survey
(or Palomar-Green Catalog )
was a survey of objects with excess ultraviolet ,
carried out in the 1980s using the Palomar Observatory 's
18-inch Schmidt camera (P18 ).
Listed are various kinds of stars as well as quasars and
Seyfert galaxies .
The Edinburgh-Cape Blue Object Survey was an analogous survey
covering a portion of the southern hemisphere, consisting of
such sources identified in existing UKST plates .
