Palomar Testbed Interferometer
(PTI)
(near-infrared interferometer experiment)
The Palomar Testbed Interferometer (PTI)
was a near-infrared optical interferometer
at Palomar Observatory, operating from 1995 to 2008.
It incorporated three 0.4-meter telescopes,
using two at a time, the longest baseline being 110 meters.
Its accomplishments include direct stellar radius determination
of some giant stars.
