SpeX
(a medium-resolution infrared spectrograph)
SpeX is a 0.7-5.3 micron spectrograph installed on
the Infrared Telescope Facility (IRTF) on Mauna Kea in 2000 and upgraded in 2014.
Another unrelated instrument is called SPEX :
the Spectropolarimeter for Planetary Exploration ,
designed for spacecraft, e.g., for Mars or Jupiter missions.
