TRAPPIST-1
(2MASS J23062928-0502285)
(red dwarf with exoplanets within the habitable zone)
TRAPPIST-1 (2MASS J23062928-0502285)
is a nearby red dwarf with seven known orbiting
extra-solar planets, ranging from about 1/3 Earth
mass to just above Earth mass,
with possibly as many as six of them within
the star's presumed habitable zone,
which has encouraged much interest.
They were discovered by a TRAPPIST
telescope, which explains its designation.
