HITEMP

(spectroscopic parameters for modeling gas optics)

HITEMP is a database of spectroscopic parameters representing the effect of gases on the Absorption and transmission of light at 1000K temperatures and greater, which has uses in astrophysics such as the analysis of stars. It is analogous to HITRAN, which does the same for Earth Surface Temperatures. HITEMP handles a few compounds of wide interest (e.g., water, Carbon Dioxide, Carbon Monoxide), likely because the potential relevant data is so extensive, and perhaps the challenge of acquiring/developing the data. The latest HITEMP edition is dated 2010.
