MORA
(Mapping Obscuration to Reionization with ALMA)
(high resolution 2-mm survey of a portion of the COSMOS field)
MORA, for Mapping Obscuration to Reionization with ALMA,
is a 2-mm ALMA-based survey of a 0.05
deg² subregion of the COSMOS survey field.
The intention is identification and observation of
dusty star-forming galaxies (DSFGs)
with redshifts of 4 and higher, as revealed within a
millimeter atmospheric window (at wavelength ~2 mm),
aiming to collect new data regarding star formation history (SFH). Various
criteria are being used to determine whether an observed signal is
likely to represent such a galaxy, and twelve strong DSFG
candidates have been announced.
Ex-MORA is a subsequent extended effort.
