NOIRLab (for National Optical-Infrared Astronomy Research Laboratory) is a United States National Science Foundation (NSF) optical/infrared astronomical research organization operating a number of telescopes around the world. It was officially formed in 2019, largely consisting of what previously was the National Optical Astronomy Observatory (NOAO), the new name reflecting new and added responsibilities, and acknowledging its infrared work. The Community Science and Data Center (CSDC) is a program of NOIRLab that facilitates research access to the telescopes and to research data under NOIRLab's care.
