Orion Nebula
(M42, NGC 1976)
(easily-observed nebula that includes SF regions)
The Orion Nebula (Messier 42, M42, NGC 1976)
is a nebula within the constellation Orion,
that is well-studied because it includes
some of the most observable
clouds of gas and dust of various kinds
(HI regions, HII regions, molecular clouds)
including star-forming regions.
The Orion Bar is a long, straight, slender feature of the
nebula.
