The 2dF-SDSS LRG and QSO survey was an astronomical survey of luminous red galaxies and quasars performed with the Anglo-Australian Telescope 2dF multi-object spectrograph. It targeted the two types of objects to make use of the instrument's ability to efficiently observe many targets within a 2-degree-diameter field.
