AEGIS
(All-wavelength Extended Groth Strip International Survey)
(early 2000s survey study of distant galaxies)
AEGIS (All-wavelength Extended Groth Strip International Survey)
was a survey of a portion of the sky
(the survey field Extended Groth Strip)
specifically to observe distant galaxies with a redshift z ~ 1.
AEGIS incorporated data from multiple space and ground telescopes,
including:
Much of the observation was in the 2003-2005 time frame with some continuing
until roughly 2010.
