Las Campanas Observatory

Las Campanas Observatory (LCO) is an observatory in the southern part of the Atacama Desert in Chile. Telescopes include:

• Magellan Telescopes (two 6.5 meter telescopes).
• Swope Telescope (1.0 meter).
• du Pont Telescope (2.5 meter).
• All Sky Automated Survey (ASAS) telescope.
• HAT-South telescopes.
• Giant Magellan Telescope (GMT) (future, 24.5-meter effective aperture).

Note that abbreviation LCO is also used for Las Cumbres Observatory.
